The edible, dried seeds of legume plants are known as pulses. They are accessible in nature in a variety of forms, sizes, and colours as they grow in pods. They differ from other vegetable crops in that they are only collected as dry grains because they are not harvested when still green. Among the less-well-known pulses are lentils, chickpeas, pigeon peas, cow peas, dry beans, and dry peas. In addition to being a fantastic source of vitamins and minerals including iron, zinc, folate, and magnesium, pulses are also a terrific source of protein and fibre. You can eat them without feeling bloated because they are low in fat and high in proteins, complex carbohydrates, and fibre.
